Giving Credit And Why It’s Important

Activity 1: Giving credit is VERY important, for example, if you’re making an essay and you cite a quote from another source, then you need to give credit to the website or else you are plagiarizing. Plagiarizing can get you in trouble ESPECIALLY if you are publishing something, which can get you into legal trouble. Plagiarizing means to copy something from another source and calling it your own. Sometimes, though, you don’t even say it’s your’s, but you STILL need to give credit or else you’re technically plagiarizing. Some of the things that you need to give credit are pictures, quotes, information, videos, and music. To give credit to these things, you need to cite the URL. What does it mean to cite the URL? Well, that means to go up to the address bar of the source of where you got the information, video, or quote from and highlight. Then you need to click copy and then paste it into your document or slideshow or whatever you are using.

There is a little butterfly

With orange and white square patterns

And is feeling quite tense

So she sits on this leaf

She feels relaxed now

As calm as ever

She feels quite better now

Thanks to the leaf

Why Did I Choose My Avatar?

I chose my avatar (I made it here: Face Your Manga) to look the way it does because I have had an inspiration to make my own character. So no, my avatar is DEFINITELY not how I look in real life. So, as you can see, my character has purple hair, a big and bright smile, and some whiskers on her cheeks. I chose these because I have always been in LOVE with cats and, since I loved them so much, I decided to make her a have little whiskers just for fun! Then I decided to add purple hair since my favorite color in real life is purple. Finally I added a BRIGHT big smile. It may not seem much, and you may think that I just added it for decoration but I had a reason to put that smile there. First off, even though I was creating a fictional character I still wanted to add a few traits about me so, I decided to add a big smile. The smile represents how I am a VERY happy person. I always try to cheer people up, I don’t judge what people like to do, and i’m not an ignorant.

My Passion

What is my passion? Well, it is art. I love art because drawing helps me build up my creativity and coloring helps me relax when I am stressed but it also keeps me challenged, and I love challenges every once in a while! I love coming up with ideas for a drawing even if I may not be able to make it, I come up with ideas by looking up drawings or famous paintings and getting inspired by them, or sometimes I combine two paintings or drawings that I really liked!

I got inspired by art from watching animation videos on YouTube from a person called Jaiden Animations. I loved her animation style and her drawing’s, so I got inspired to become an animator! I learned many art tips from her and other artists some of the art tips are:

  1. Don’t compare your work to somebody else’s, if someone does something different than you do (for example they use a different drawing technique that you do) don’t change your’s just because they did it and “they’re a better artist than you”, you should do what works best for you!
  2. Work with different materials, find what you like to work with! (Including pastels, charcoal, and oil pastels)
  3. When creating a sketch remember that it is a SKETCH, not a final drawing.
  4. Don’t erase everything that you mess up in a sketch, overlap lines so that in the end when you’re ready to make your final drawing outline the lines with something of your choice.
  5. When you create a sketch make sure to use “layers”. Here’s an example: If you’re going to draw a person draw the head and body first. Second, draw eyes and other tiny features to it. Third, draw clothes, hair, and other accessories to the drawing. Finally, adjust anything you may need to and outline then erase any remaining pencil marks. Then you are ready to color your drawing!
  6. When sketching draw lightly if you don’t, then it’ll be hard to erase it after without leaving any marks.

That’s all I have to say about my passion, I hope you enjoy art just as much as I do!
