So, video games? You may think that there are only VIOLENT games out there, but you have been mistaken. There are HUNDREDS of types of games, such as FPS games or RPG. In this post, I’m going to talk about the different types of games.
The first type of game is interactive story games. These games tell you a story, where you can interact with the characters and other things in the game by yourself. These games also let you choose your own story. Instead of the game leading you through what they want the story to go like, they let the player make their own. So, for example, let’s say that in the game you are walking down the street and someone comes up to you and says, “Hey! Do you want some ice cream?” Then, two rectangles show up on the bottom of the screen and you can click on them! One of the rectangles says, “Yes” and the other says, “No”. An example of an interactive story game is “The Walking Dead” (Yes I know it’s a TV show but they turned it into an interactive story game)
The second type of game is FPS. FPS stands for first-person shooter. This means the game will be in a first-person view and you will have a gun with you. You can upgrade, change, and have other abilities inside the game to make you better and more powerful. These games have different mini-games with different objectives. One game is called “Capture The Flag” in this game you capture the opposing team’s flag and get it to your base so that you can win. You can kill each other in the game although. An example of an FPS game is “Call Of Duty”.
The third, and final, type of game is an MMO. MMO stands for “Massive Multiplayer Online Game”. In these games, you play a game (Depending on what the creator of the game wanted to do) with MANY people online all around the world. An example of an MMO game is “League of Legends”
There are MANY other types of games and it would take FOREVER to get through them all. But, we can all agree on one thing…
